My Story – Early Memory of the Holocaust in the Works of Eyewitness Artists

Curated by Zsófi Farkas of the Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives, this powerful exhibition first opened at the Hungarian National Gallery in April 2024 to mark the 80th anniversary of the Holocaust in Hungary. Featuring the works of 28 eyewitness artists, the exhibition presents narrative and figurative depictions of life in ghettos, labor service, and concentration camps through drawings, prints, and albums—some in graphic novel form.

Now available as a traveling exhibition, My Story transcends its Hungarian context and offers deep resonance for broader audiences.

The exhibition showcases the artworks of 28 artists, including:

- 1 oil painting in picture frame
- 16 drawings in picture frames
- 2 graphic albums recorded on video installations
- 15 graphic albums protected by plexiglas display cases

-  the pages of 21 graphic albums ( totaling 304 pages )  installed on custom-made display shelves

The full exhibition requires approximately 9100 running meter in length.

A full or scaled-down version is available for loan. See the exhibition portfolio for details including installation views.
