Pathways to Pride: Jewish LGBTQ+ Journeys

Pathways to Pride: Jewish LGBTQ+ Journeys is the first major exhibition to detail the history of the LGBTQ+ community in Jewish spaces and to highlight the historic contributions that LGBTQ+ Jews have made to the nation. The show features historical and contemporary photographs, artifacts, and oral histories, exploring the winding path from ostracism to tolerance to belonging. The exhibition covers a national story with an emphasis on DC-based activism, sweeping through more than a century of legal milestones, far-ranging protests, changes in religious spaces, and vibrant cultural life. Renting institutions have the opportunity to add material about local people, institutions, and events.
